Mamma Mia!

This is one of my favourite parts of the whole movie. If you only watch the movie to see this it's worth it.
Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan and Stellan Skarsgård in brightly coloured spandexsuits, singing and dancing. You just have to love them.

Yay! My Namaste Zuma handbag in Peacock is on it's way!
I just got a message telling me that! Hopefully it will get here in about a week, maybe in time for next weekend?

I can't wait to get it!

Visit down south...

We're down south (outside Gothenburgh, in Lödöse) visiting my parents this weekend since my dad turned 60 years old yesterday. We had a great party that mum made great food for! We're going home in a couple of hours, and will be home about 6 hours after that.

This morning me and R (husband) took Bea for a nice long walk, we were out for at least 75 minutes, maybe more. And it's cold here, ice one the puddles, frost on the grass. We brought the camera along and got some great pictures I think, those will come up later on when we've gotten home and emptied the camera.

I've gotten some knitting done this weekend as well, since we drove down on saturday morning it was perfect light for knitting all the way, even though I didn't knti all the way. But I finished the toepart of one sock so I could start knitting on the footpart yesterday. I also knitted about 20 cm on my scarf. And a couple of rounds on my super-green socks. Pictures will be posted later, see above.

Wev'e also had quite a lot of game-sightings this week. Earlier this week Bea made a run for some hares (? rabbit-like but not rabbits) and this friday she tried to get some ducks for lunch, she was on the leash and on got one leg dipped in the lake before giving up that tought tough.
Later the same day she and R spotted 2 hares and 2 deers during the evening walk. And when we drove down here on saturday we almost had an accident with a moose, we have good brakes though and managed to stop several meters from it when it crossed the road. I've never seen a real live moos that close before, only a hint of it in the woods beside the raod when I was a kid.
Then when me and Bea took a morning walk yesterday and I stupidly enough had her free she made a run after 4 deers, she came back after a couple of minutes though but it was enough to make me terrified and get a stress-headache :S I leashed her and we kept walking. After about 10 minutes I look into the forest beside the path I was on and see 2 mooses about 50 meters from me... I'm pretty sure it was a moose-cow(?) and her calf but I'm not sure. After that we picked up the pace and quickly headed home. Too bad I didn't have a camera with me and today they didn't show them self :/

Clear up...

Maybe I should clear something up. It's not my dog that was put down on monday. It was a friends.

Sadly another shiba-girl we know got put down today as well after a period of illness :(

Sweet little Dowa stole my heart the first time she tried to bite my arm...she was 6 weeks old when I met her and her mouth definatley couldn't reach around my arm.

So today we honour bot Umai and Dowa and we will keep your memory in our hearts forever.

Rest in peace

Today we light a candle in honour of the magnificent Umai av Enerhaugen who sadly passed over the rainbowbridge today after a period of illness. She was a great Shiba Inu and will live on in her children and grandchildren.

Yarn!

When I got home today my yarn for the Halloween Myster Shawl was waiting for me! Hooray!
It's so beautiful!
And I should get the beads for the shawl tomorrow and maybe even the needles I need.
Right now I'm terrified of winding this wonderful yarn into a ball though.

The yarn is Zen Yarn Gardens Bellisimo Lace made of 70% Alpaca 20% Silk and 10% Cashmere in the colour Midnight Velvet. It's a skein of approx. 100 g or 1300 yards.

Feeling better

I'm feeling better today, at least enough to go to work tomorrow, don't want to miss another day of double money.

I went yarn-shopping today. Hunting for the perfect yarn-combo for my first Pratchgan-square. I didn't get the perfect purple yarn I found but I'm going to use two other yarns instead trying to make it a bit sparkly =) I already have fluffy green and fluffy orange and I got some fluffy Yellow today as well =) I'm gonna do a swatch of them tomorrow.

It feels like my Forest Canopy Shawl (FCS) is an endless project, even though I only have 16 rows left right now. Might be able to do 2 rows before bedtime tonight though. And a couple more tomorrow.

Goal for tomorrow: Finish last body pattern repeat of Forest Canopy Shawl! If I do two rows tonight I only have four left for tomorrow. And then I can start with the edge.

Bea is the best dog ever. All cuddly with me when I was feeling sick yesterday. Not complainen at all about the really short walks around the medow. Here's a pic of her when we were out walking earlier this week. For some reason I can't seem to get her to stand up in front of the camera :/

Know I'm gonna go knit on my FCS! And then go to bed.

Nite nite!

Sick

Been sick all day long. :/
Didn't even have the energy to knit :( I did manage to make some stichmarkers though. A jumpring, a bead and some superglue and voilá!

And tomorrow the first clue for the Halloween Mystery Shawl -08 gets released, yay! I havn't gotten my yarn yet but I can always use my extra time for bead-hunting and making sure I understand the pattern =)

At last...

I finally decided to create my own blog.
So here it is.
I will be writing about my life, my Shiba Inu Bea and my knitting.
