Long time no write...

Well... It's been ages since I blogged last, sorry! Since then we've been to a big dog-show in Norway, it was so much fun even though Gin decided that judges are horrible horrible persons and that he most definitely wouldn't show his teeth or let the judge touch him at all. Oh well, guess we'll give it another go after he's out of his teenage-phase.

I've also some some planting of flowers in pots on out porch, here is how it looks now.
Gin decided that the photos needed more Shiba-butt in them :D

What a diffrence a year makes

I can't belive my little pup is already one year old. It seems like it was only yesterday he was this small.
He's the one in the middle, photo was taken by breeder Helene.

Here he is at 8 weeks on the day we took him home.

And then his ears started to rise so he looked like this.

And he grew and grew. And we started showing him on dog-shows which went very well, he became BIS-2 pup on a big show in August.

And here are a couple of photos from the last week and from his birthday yesterday.

Photo taken by my dad on chirstmas-eve.

With his birthday-present.

Gin one year old!

Bea also got a present but cared more for the treats :-)

Socks and Elephant

I've been knitting a pair of socks for my self the last month, and they are finally finshed. They are a bit too big but who knows, they might fit better after I wash them even though I seriously doubt it. But they are fine for wearing indoors and maybe even while I'm out if I'm wearing the right shoes.

After I finished I started a pair of socks for mom, On-Hold socks by Wendy Johnson They knit up really fast. I'm 1 inch short of starting the increases for the heel. Yay!

In elephant news... Gin has finally ripped all of the filling from his blue elephant. It now makes me think of the harness they lowered the cow with in Jurassic Park when feeding the Velociraptors... after they finished it that is... Here's a pic...

And to finish, here's a pic of Bea and Gin having a rest on the couch.

Office-dogs

I work for a temp-agency and the last three weeks I've been working in our office.
What I like the best about working in our office is that I get to bring my dogs with me to work. Yay!

Bea thinks this place is creepy and prefers to hang around the kitchen keeping watch.
Gin thinks it's great, lots of room to run around and play. And you even get treats every now and then. And there are other people than "mum" and "dad" to pet and play with him! Yay! Or rather "Woof".

Pictures will come when I get home and can upload them from my cell.

Visit down south...

We're down south (outside Gothenburgh, in Lödöse) visiting my parents this weekend since my dad turned 60 years old yesterday. We had a great party that mum made great food for! We're going home in a couple of hours, and will be home about 6 hours after that.

This morning me and R (husband) took Bea for a nice long walk, we were out for at least 75 minutes, maybe more. And it's cold here, ice one the puddles, frost on the grass. We brought the camera along and got some great pictures I think, those will come up later on when we've gotten home and emptied the camera.

I've gotten some knitting done this weekend as well, since we drove down on saturday morning it was perfect light for knitting all the way, even though I didn't knti all the way. But I finished the toepart of one sock so I could start knitting on the footpart yesterday. I also knitted about 20 cm on my scarf. And a couple of rounds on my super-green socks. Pictures will be posted later, see above.

Wev'e also had quite a lot of game-sightings this week. Earlier this week Bea made a run for some hares (? rabbit-like but not rabbits) and this friday she tried to get some ducks for lunch, she was on the leash and on got one leg dipped in the lake before giving up that tought tough.
Later the same day she and R spotted 2 hares and 2 deers during the evening walk. And when we drove down here on saturday we almost had an accident with a moose, we have good brakes though and managed to stop several meters from it when it crossed the road. I've never seen a real live moos that close before, only a hint of it in the woods beside the raod when I was a kid.
Then when me and Bea took a morning walk yesterday and I stupidly enough had her free she made a run after 4 deers, she came back after a couple of minutes though but it was enough to make me terrified and get a stress-headache :S I leashed her and we kept walking. After about 10 minutes I look into the forest beside the path I was on and see 2 mooses about 50 meters from me... I'm pretty sure it was a moose-cow(?) and her calf but I'm not sure. After that we picked up the pace and quickly headed home. Too bad I didn't have a camera with me and today they didn't show them self :/

Rest in peace

Today we light a candle in honour of the magnificent Umai av Enerhaugen who sadly passed over the rainbowbridge today after a period of illness. She was a great Shiba Inu and will live on in her children and grandchildren.
